We’re excited to get 200+ volunteers our at Prep the Town on Saturday, May 13. We will be scraping, priming and power washing the homes of families throughout Dayton/Bellevue, KY in preparation for Paint the Town on Saturday, June 10.
Prep the Town is RAIN OR SHINE! Regardless of the forecast, please plan on showing up in the morning for registration. Any changes to the schedule due to weather will be determined at registration.
Wear clothes that you aren’t afraid to get a little dirty. Your shoes should be sturdy with closed toes (no flip-flops) and don’t forget to apply sunscreen and bug spray! You may want to bring a hat/sunglasses, but leave your valuables at home. If you prefer to use your own tools, you are welcome to bring them with you.
Breakfast will be provided and registration and will include juice, granola bars, and bananas. Lunch will be delivered to your house.
Registration will take place at Gil Lynn Park (203 Greendevil LN, Dayton, KY 41074). The after party will be begin immediately following Prep the Town at Hometown Heroes Sports Cafe (517 6th Ave, Dayton, KY 41074).
8:00 am – Team sign-in & breakfast
Please check-in at the main registration table. Also, please note the t-shirts will not be provided for Prep the Town. In honor of our 500th House Celebration, feel free to wear a shirt from Paint the Towns past. Once you sign in, grab breakfast and hang tight until announcements with your team until at 8:30 am. Your Team Lead/Area Lead will provide you with directions on how to get to your house.

8:40 am – Volunteers dismissed to drive to houses
Volunteers will drive themselves to the houses for Prep Day. We encourage you to carpool from Gil Lynn Park to the houses if possible.
2:30 pm – Prepping concludes
Please plan to volunteer for the full time period.
