Paint the Town

An Important COVID-19 Update

After much deliberation, it is with heavy hearts that we announce Paint the Town 2020 has been canceled. We look forward to picking up where we left off — and celebrating our 20th anniversary — when we return to College Hill next year on June 12, 2021.

Please know: this isn’t a decision our steering committee arrived at lightly. After all, this year’s Paint the Town feels so far away! So much could change between now and then!

And that’s the point. COVID-19 has upended everything; the uncertainty is excruciating.

So, we have to move forward with what we know NOW. We must be sensitive to the impact the pandemic has had on the health of our homeowners — many of whom are often elderly and in poor health — as well as the wellbeing of our volunteers and the vitality of our sponsors.

We know our homeowners, sponsors and volunteers will be disappointed; the steering committee that leads Paint the Town is, too. But we also know we will return stronger and more certain next year. In the meantime, we invite you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram as we offer 2021 planning updates in the coming months.

What this means for:

Homeowners who have already applied and/or have been interviewed for this year’s event will be considered in 2021 without the need to reapply. New applicants, especially those who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19, will be encouraged to apply beginning January 2, 2021.

Sponsors of this year’s event will be not be invoiced; those who have already processed their donation will be refunded. We do hope you will consider renewing your commitment at your 2020 sponsorship level next year! We will be in touch by October 1, 2020 to review your interest in next year’s event.

If you’re itching to stay involved or would like to help plan Paint the Town 2021, you’re in luck! We will begin recruiting for our steering committee and other key volunteer roles in the early fall. PM us on Facebook so we can reach out to you directly when recruitment begins.
